got an idea from ivo about some mounts for a car that positioned the sleeve at the bottom so it can raise the motor up. so i applied that with the hockey puck as an insert. here's progress..

mount gutted out

hard to see but its 1/16th short of 3"

bag of tricks

hockey puck pressed in. will drill it out for the sleeve asap.

dang and i was just thinking about using silcone gel............holy **** a hockey puck?! lmao.

How the **** did you decide to use a hockey puck? :P now you gotta find a sleeve that will fit(bearing) from the store that will be able to slide a 17mm bolt through.

But i think its positioned up? The rear motor mounts only use washers since the mount is mounted ontop of the brackets.

Might as well find a way to eliminate the front motor mounts, since those things suck. or produce the extra addition to the sides like the eg mounts. looks good, what about the other tricks i told you bout hmm :) since my motor is out and dead, ime getting that **** done asap. yee

i know 240 guys use hockey pucks as mounts because all their mount kits are expensive and bulky.. so they use hockey pucks to make the mount shorter and give them more turbo clearance. i'm going to use the sleeve from the oem mount and drill a hole in the hockey puck then press fit it in. im not gonna use the front torque mount because with all three mounts having hockey pucks its going to be way stiff. yeah i dont think i could benefit from any of the other tips. if i shave the fork i'll get a little more shock movement.. but i dont really need any. i just wana raise the motor so i dont break the transmission again. updates soon!

no not the forks, the alternator :P

id like to see where this goes, and if this is successful(which is forsure), give me a holla holla and press me in some hockeypucks cause i hate breaking the front transmission torque mounts.

so youre saying that just pressing in the puck will be good enough not to move, you dont need to use any adhesive glue or anything?

i feel ya on the transmissions, its not that easy and its not that great breaking those things. FYI 13th street had 2 HF crx's there, didnt know if you still wanted an HF tranny but i saw one.

yeah its real tight wont slip out. oh sweet. i'd go get it but right now i gotta deal with another problem on my hatch.. i just discovered a fat puddle behind my car and its gas.. looked under and i got some holes in my gas tank and its got a constant drip.

updates on mounts:

shaved off about 1/8" the hockey puck to fit in the rear mount:

pressed it in:

pressed in the driver side:

and all mounts done, now to drill out the holes and press in sleeves:
